The Flex ID sub-tab (Manage Publishers>Flex ID) enables you to assign an ID of your choosing to a publisher CID. This advertiser-assigned ID can be passed to your site on the click, from the respective publisher. The ability to assign unique identifiers to your publishers via Flex ID offers a variety of benefits, including:
Retaining publisher IDs used in a previous network.
Determining what vertical certain traffic is coming from by assigning an ID to select publishers only, such as loyalty publishers.
Passing an exclusive coupon code to a publisher.
Before assigning Flex IDs to publishers in your program, please take the following into consideration.
The Flex ID field is not visible to the publisher.
You MUST contact Technical Services to enable Flex ID functionality. Simply submitting a Flex ID via the Account Manager before contacting Technical Services will NOT pass the ID to your site on the click from the publisher.
Once Flex ID is enabled, you may use the Flex ID feature as much as necessary.
Perform the following steps to assign a Flex ID to a publisher CID.
Contact Technical Services to enable the Flex ID feature.
Once Flex ID is enabled, navigate to Manage Publishers>Flex ID.
Enter the CID of the publisher for whom you wish to assign a Flex ID in the Publisher CID text field.
Note: You can assign the same Flex ID to multiple publishers; however, Flex IDs must be mapped individually, as there is no bulk upload for assigning one Flex ID to multiple CIDs.
Note: Each publisher CID can only have one Flex ID assigned to it; however, you can edit or replace this Flex ID as necessary.
Note: CIDs entered incorrectly in the CID text field will not display in the table after clicking the Submit button.
Enter the Flex ID you wish to assign to the publisher in the Flex ID text field.
Click the Submit button to assign the Flex ID to the publisher CID.
The assigned Flex ID displays alongside the associated publisher CID and publisher Name in the table below. To edit an existing Flex ID, simply re-enter the publisher CID in the associated text field, enter the new Flex ID and click the Submit button. To delete a Flex ID, re-enter the publisher CID, delete all information in the Flex ID text field (leaving this field empty) and click the Submit button.
