Welcome to Web Services Help

This help set provides information regarding the Web services offered by Commission Junction, including API references, code examples and general implementation instructions. You may locate information within the help by navigating through the table of contents on the left or by searching for keywords in the upper right corner. You may locate definitions and additional information for terms and acronyms in the Glossary. Commission Junction’s Web Services are supported in the following languages: Java, Ruby, .NET, PHP and Perl.

Note: Commission Junction offers basic support in terms of providing clients with the documentation in this help set and educating clients about the Web services we provide; however, we do not provide any programmatic support. Developers may find additional support and resources within the forums on the Web Services Developer Site.

We've added a new REST API - the Commission Detail Service -  which enables both advertisers and publishers to access real-time commission and item-detail data. Refer to the Commission Detail Service topic for more information.

To better suit your needs, we've added sample header .txt files for the following REST APIs: Product Catalog Search Service, Publisher Lookup Service and Support Services.

 

March 2009

We’ve made two of our existing APIs available in the REST (Representational State Transfer) protocol - the Product Catalog Search Service and the Link Search Service. Along with the Publisher Lookup Service, our REST APIs offer a more user-friendly and less complex Web Services experience.

 

February 2009

We've added a new advertiser API - the Publisher Lookup Service, which enables advertisers to create a service that searches for information regarding their joined publishers. The Publisher Lookup Service is the first API we've offered in the REST (Representational State Transfer) protocol.

 

January 2009

We’ve updated the overall layout for easier navigation and added sample code for APIs in Perl, PHP and Ruby. We’ve also optimized help topics to present the most relevant information for currently-supported Web Services.

 

February 2008

The February Web Services help release includes minor clarification updates throughout the help.
